2.) Coffee can actually lower the risk of type 2 Diabetes, those coffee drinkers that had up to 6 cups of coffee a day had 22% Lower risk of type 2 Diabetes. A recent study by conducted by Harvards Dr. Frank Hu shows that by drinking one cup of coffee a day your chances of developing diabetes decreases by 9%. Decaf decreased by 6%.

3.) Coffee can also reduce depression, drinking up to four cups of coffee a day has the potential to reduce depression by 20%.

4.) Coffee has been shown to actually help you burn fat. Several studies have shown coffee can actually boost your metabolic rate by 3-11%.

5.) Coffee can dramatically improve your physical performance. Caffeine can stimulate your nervous system, calling on your fat cells to brake down fat. For this reason alone its a pretty good idea to have a cup of Joe before your workout.

6.) Coffee may be able to lower certain types of cancer. Coffee may be able to protect against liver and colorectal cancer. Studies in coffee drinkers showed that coffee drinkers have a 40% reduced risk of liver cancer. Studies have shown that coffee drinkers who drink 4-5 cups of coffee day had a 15% reduction in colorectal cancer.

7.) Coffee might be able to protect against Parkinson's disease. Studies have shown that coffee drinkers have a significant lower risk of Parkinson's disease, with a reduction rate of 32-60%.

8.) Coffee has been actually shown to make you smarter. Once you drink a cup of coffee, your bloodstream absorbs the caffeine, and is then transported to the brain. Studies have shown that caffeine increases mood, memory, energy levels, reaction times, and mental clarity.
